Come to Wilson Wines and become part of our family of friends!
The Wilson
Toast
by John Wilson
We hold there's a smile in every cloud,
yet can be a silly brood.
We love stories and friendly crowds
and good cheer and good food.
Whether you be Wilson or you be friend,
lift your glass and give a cheer,
and where ever you go, or where you've been,
remember those gone, love those here.
Gene
Deer is Indy's favorite blues guitarist/singer/songwriter and a
Slippery Noodle recording artist. Voted the "Best local Blues
Band of 2000, 2001, and 2002" by readers of Nuvo, Gene has
recorded two CDs on the Slippery Noodle Sound label: "Soul
Tender" and "Livin' with the Blues". Both of these CDs are
available at the shows, or online.
Beyond DeVoe's compelling sound's her soulful hippie-funk
vocals is her hypnotic, manic energy. She is capable of
engaging totally, locking eyes, her conversation instantly
confessional and intimate, wacky and profound as she rockets
from topic to topic. DeVoe's vocals have a wise, raw, human
quality that reveals her to be more than just a
pretty-good-for-a-local-girl kind of talent. Her lyrics are
smart, kooky and often pleasingly simple.
Groove
Doctor gets your blood pumping and fills the dance floor with the area's
most unique lineup of Rock, Funk, Blues, and Country- classic covers
from AC/DC to Bon Jovi, from Wild Cherry to ZZ Top, and everything - and
we mean everything - in between.
Modoc’s
latest and first full-length release, Fortune and
Fame, was a leap of faith that resulted in their most honest and
creative work to date. Inspired by the high times and hardships of life
on the road, songs like “Dead in the Morning”, “Penance” and title track
“Fortune and Fame” shaped the record
into an unexpected ode to life’s everyday struggles. Modoc found that
their music was taking on a new voice during the making of their latest
record. Songs like “No Use” and “Hard Times” dig deep into the sounds of
southern soul, where gang vocals carry the songs into a genre of their
own.
